“Women usually love what they buy, yet hate two-thirds of what’s in their closets.” the neurotic’s notebook, 1960.
Can you relate to this statement? I’ve made too many BAD clothing choices in my lifetime and have decided enough is enough! Before I buy clothing, I now ask myself if I really love it OR am I thinking of buying it just because it’s sort of cute and looks good enough on me. More often than not, I end up leaving the store without it.
If you need help making better clothing choices for your body type or help styling the clothing you own, contact Krystle Marks, a Madison based fashion consultant. She helped define my body type and made suggestions about styles I should look for when I shop. Krystle is hosting a fun shopping trip to Chicago this summer where she will help you choose some perfect pieces for your wardrobe.
I have an assignment for you to do right now…….head to your closet and pull out 10 pieces of clothing to donate. Look for clothing that is too big, too small, the wrong color or doesn’t help you feel your best because there isn’t any reason to create an occasion to feel bad about yourself! Place the clothing into a box or bag and label it “donate.”
